Am I Too Young for a Hair Transplant?
The younger you are the more unpredictable your future hair loss will be so there are many factors to consider. If you are under 17, it’s highly unlikely that PAI would consider doing your transplant unless there are unusual circumstances. With parental consent and certain criteria, we may consider a transplant if you are 18 – 21. If you are 22 or over and you are committed to all the hair restoration modalities, chances are you may be a candidate for transplantation.

Day of the Procedure
Should I eat before the procedure?
Yes, you are encouraged to have a nice meal before the procedure.
Will I be under general anesthesia?
You will not be under general anesthesia, however, the you might be groggy after the procedure. You may need to arrange to have someone pick you up.
Will I need a ride after the procedure?
A hair transplant is a simple out-patient procedure. Although it is possible for you to drive home alone, it is not ideal. It is always helpful to have someone available to help you after the procedure is over.
Special post op instructions?
The doctor and the nurse technician will go over any special post-operative instructions. You will receive an instructive trifold and a link to a post-op video as well. If you have any questions about post op care you can call our office.
Will I need a prescription?
Yes, a script will be called in to your local pharmacy after the procedure.
