While dense packing limits the size of the area being transplanted because the hairs are being placed closer together, it comes closer to achieving fullness.
Candidacy for Dense Packing: Some patients are not candidates for dense packing. Smokers, diabetics and older patients are sometimes not good candidates for dense packing because of limited capillary activity below the surface of the skin.
