Low Level Laser Therapy

What is Low Level Laser Therapy?

Low Level Laser Therapy (LLLT) is an FDA approved, clinically proven pain free and side-effect free non-surgical technology that is based on  photo-biostimulation to treat and control hair loss.  Clinical studies have consistently demonstrated the benefits of low level light therapy to help regrow hair, improve tensile strength, fullness and the overall health of hair.

How Does It Work?

Low level laser photons irradiate the entire scalp, which increases microcirculation of blood supplies to the hair follicles. This pure red, “soft” laser stimulates the scalp, significantly increasing the number of red corpuscles that deliver life giving oxygen and vital nutrients to the hair bulb. This in turn increases nutrient supply to increase skin repair and hair growth.

Great for patients after hair surgery to aid in healing and promote growth

It also activates the body’s anti-inflammatory repair and regenerative mechanisms which have been shown to significantly increase healing after hair restoration surgery.

Laser treatments coupled with Anagen Products stimulated growth in this patient’s temporal peaks and brought wispy hair back to life.  After treatments his hair is much thicker and healthier.

At PAI Medical / WeGrowHair we offer clinically proven FDA approved in-office clinic lasers for men and women as well as home therapy solutions.  We offer FDA approved LLLT because non-FDA approved options are not proven to be safe or effective.

Laser Revitalizes Miniaturized Hairs

Hair follicles that are dormant and not dead can often be rehabilitated with photo-biostimulation. Existing established hair becomes thicker, looks and feels softer and is easier to manage. This wavelength doesn’t burn or damage tissue like the higher wavelength lasers used in surgery to cut or cauterize tissue. Results can be seen in as little as 6 weeks.

Scientific Measured Benefits of Low Level Light Laser.

In 1967 professor Andre Mester, the father of Laser Biostimulation,  noted that while experimenting with laboratory mice he discovered that low energy laser radiation accelerated healing of wounds and damaged hairs around the wounded area. He noted a rapid increase in the amount of collagen, an increase in microcirculation, quicker re-growth and thickening of the hairs in the affected area.

FDA Clinical Trials

Men and women with thinning hair in the scalp area were studied In the most recently conducted FDA clinical trials of the device. The patients received two low-level laser light treatments per week over a six month period.

No Side Effects

Dr. Unger adds, “No side effects of low-level laser therapy have been observed and there here have been no reports of eye damage from exposure to low-level laser light.”
