Can a Hair Transplant Correct Female Hair Loss?
When a woman loses her hair it can be devastating. A woman with balding may withdrawal from normal social activities because of embarrassment over her thinning hair. Wearing hats may not be an option, and wigs can be expensive and uncomfortable. One of the best ways to permanently resolve female hair loss is to get a hair transplant.
At PAI Medical Group, we do offer FUE hair transplants but not typically for women. An FUE procedure requires that patients shave the back of their head. On the other hand, PAI’s trademarked Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™ procedure does not. Donor hair is discretely harvested and as the suture area heals, evidence of a transplant virtually disappears leaving only a fine undetectable suture line.
