PATIENT SPOTLIGHT

Why Laurie Wanted a Hair Transplant

  • A Large procedure

  • Shinier, healthier hair
  • Easy to style hair
  • Natural-looking results
  • A Permanent Solution
Most women choose Multi-Unit Hair Grafting ™ (MUHG), because the back of your head does not need to be shaved for the procedure.  Plus, this procedure delivers more hair in one session.

Does it Hurt?

During and After the Procedure

Due to anesthesia the procedure is pain free. After the procedure there is moderate discomfort for 24-48 hours. A prescription pain medicine will be prescribed, however many people opt to take Tylenol instead.

FAQs about Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™

The cost of a hair transplant is comparable to most cosmetic procedures ranging from 5K - 16K depending on several factors.  We encourage you to schedule a free consultation to find out more.  Don't forget to ask about our financing options.

MUHG is our shortest hair transplant lasting between 3.5 - 5 hours.

Both FUE and FUT produce scars. We Grow Hair uses a specially developed trichophytic closure which leaves a hard-to-see linear scar.

Ever notice how elderly people typically lose hair on the top up their head but not the sides or the back? Hair in the back of your head is  more resilient and resistant to DHT (a hormone that causes hair loss). During a hair transplant, hair is relocated from the back (the donor area) to balding areas. The donor hair retains its DHT resistant attributes, meaning that it will be as permanent as it was in its original location.  In most cases, this means that the hair will remain for a lifetime unless it's affected by medication, disease, or some other unusual circumstance.

Our MUHG procedure is backed by a guarantee. We Grow Hair  meticulously documents each procedure with detailed, high-resolution before and after photographs through We Grow Hair. By doing so, we can determine the percentage of the hairs that successfully grow.  If an area of transplanted hair doesn't grow, and the patient has adhered to post-op instructions, we will redo that area at no charge.

Everyone is different but you can see results as early as 3 to 4 months.  You can expect to see final results in 12 to 14 months.

More hair can be transplanted in one Multi-Unit Hair Grafting™ procedure.  More hair means less procedures.  The ARTAS is not ideal for those with significant hair loss or hair loss in the crown area.  The ARTAS procedure is also a larger financial investment.

Your expectations, amount of hair loss, and condition of your existing donor hair play a  major role in whether you’ll need more than one procedure.  Your medical consultant can help you set realistic expectations and develop a plan that's right for you.

Yes, you should wait 30 days before you dye your hair after a transplant.
